It's A Wonderful Life...Even In the Wacky World of Mortgage Lending

 Sometimes I feel like a dinosaur! However, all things come back around as we have seen in the past year.
Starting in mortgage originations with Gem City Savings back in ’71 it is no wonder I feel like a dinosaur, but there are still a lot of familiar faces out there ! After a brief (well, five year) interruption in my home financing career, I started originating at Chemical Mortgage in 1986. With the opportunity to join National City (then Shawmut) in 1987, I began a 15 year stint with Nat City. A little over six years ago I switched gears and joined Countrywide as a Branch manager in Troy.
After driving daily to Troy from Oakwood for twenty years, I made the move to Countrywide’s Centerville Branch last October. That 20 years sure went fast!
The best part of the last 20+ years has been the wonderful people I have worked with and continue to work with. Being in South Dayton feels like starting over again, and it’s a good feeling!
It ‘s not been an easy year for anyone in the mortgage industry, but we need to hold our heads high, knowing we do good things for a lot of people.
