First Mortgage Banc Corp Betty A. Downing, Executive Vice President, Loan Officer

Betty Downing moved to the Miami Valley 21 years ago knowing absolutely no one. She propelled herself to the top of the residential mortgage industry with determination and professionalism, and has closed over $500 million in loans. At the same time, Betty and her husband have raised three active children now aged 18, 15 and 12. First Mortgage Banc Corp offers Betty and her clients a wide range of loan options. Not only can I close loans on traditional conventional, FHA and VA products with lower rates, I also have the ability to offer specialized products to meet the individual needs of each client.”

My support staff here is awesome! I have a loan processor with over 20 years experience in both processing and loan origination. In addition, FMBC has a marketing director who assists with the preparation of materials for open houses and rate sheets. The secret to Betty’s success? “I treat the client like family. I help them make the best financial decision for their situation,” Betty says. “I help them understand how a payment will fit into their budget – I want to be a lender for life. After closing, I encourage clients to call me with concerns regarding any of their financial or mortgage needs.”

I am always willing to take phone calls at odd hours with Realtors® who are showing properties and have questions. Providing excellent service to both the client and the Realtor, is my focus everyday.”

Throughout her career, Betty has been active with local industry associations, including the Dayton Mortgage Bankers (DMBA), Dayton Area Board of Realtors® (DABR) and Ohio Mortgage Bankers. She was the president of the DMBA in 2003 and is still actively serving on the board. Betty has been recognized as a sales leader by the DMBA for the last 17 years and DMBA Member of the Year in 2004. She is the Affiliate Chair for the DABR and on a personal level, she is the community director for Bishop Liebold School, St Henry Parish and Our Lad of Good Hope Parish.
