PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Finally, things are starting to warm up. The snow is gone, and we’ve actually had an opportunity to break out the short sleeve attire. The market looks somewhat brighter too … well, sort of.
Sub-prime lending woes continue to headline the news. The impact has varied on the stock market, although we have seen multiple days with triple digit losses on the Dow. Greenspan has awakened from hibernation and has stolen the thunder from Ben Bernanke on a couple of occasions. It appears he still has the ability to drive the market one way or another with little effort at all.
Fortunately for us, he has eluded to the possibility of an upcoming recession that would surely force the Fed to change its course of action and soften up on interest rates. This could spell good news for us as the lowering of rates would almost certainly trigger some refinance opportunities.
Of course all of this is hypothetical since not even Greenspan has a crystal ball that works. But the theory does have some credence, and is certainly something that should generate some excitement throughout our community.

The Membership Committee is requesting that each Office Manager please print a copy of the newsletter for their staff since we are unable to track the staff changes.
